Rob joined Charnwood Molecular in 2003 as a Senior Research Chemist. In 2004 he was appointed Principal Chemist, and became Medicinal Chemistry Group Leader in November 2005
Rob has over 20 years experience as a practising medicinal/organic chemist, with expertise over a range of therapeutic areas, involving structure activity analyses and formulation of chemical programmes.
Rob graduated from Cambridge University with a BA(Hons) in Natural Sciences, and obtained an MSc and PhD in Organic Chemistry from Manchester University. Rob gained postdoctoral experience with Dr A. P. Johnson at Leeds University before joining Knoll (part of BASF Pharma, formerly The Boots Company PLC, Pharmaceuticals Division) where he worked on obesity, oncology, immunology and cardiovascular research.
