This month marks the end of an era for Charnwood Molecular as we hand over the keys of our former premises, the Heritage Building in Loughborough, to its new owners.
Moving into the Heritage Building in 2003 was a key milestone, following the founding of Charnwood Molecular as an independent company at Loughborough University in 1998.
Since then much has changed, although our commitment to excellence in research and helping clients achieve their objectives on time and to budget remains as strong as ever.
Following expansion into a discovery chemistry lab at BioCity, Nottingham in 2012 the next significant move was to co-locate all biology and chemistry services in one facility.
That brings us to 2022 and over 100 employees based at Charnwood Campus in Loughborough, Leicestershire, which has its own rich history.
Now occupying a three-storey facility that has quadrupled capacity, Charnwood Molecular is able to provide a fully integrated drug discovery solution to its clients, with teams across all disciplines working in the space.
Founder and CEO of Charnwood Molecular, Steve Allin, commented: “The truly world-class facilities at Charnwood Campus provide us with a key piece in our strategic plan to become the provider of choice for integrated drug discovery and development services within the global life sciences sector. The new laboratories provide substantial capacity for future growth and expansion of our current scientific teams, along with the future addition of related drug discovery service lines.”
Exciting times await as we say goodbye to the old and embrace the new.
