We are delighted to continue our external speaker programme and welcome Professor Alessio Ciulli to speak on Friday 18 November when he will deliver a presentation on:
“How PROTACs work: why the ternary complex matters and it impacts degrader design".
Alessio is Professor of Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery at the University of Dundee plus Director of the Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation which he founded. As many are aware Alessio is also scientific co-founder and advisor of Amphista Therapeutics.
Research in the Ciulli Lab broadly spans the fields of Chemical Biology and Structural Biology of Protein-Protein Interactions (PPIs) and protein degradation and is specifically concerned with studies of druggability of PPIs to small molecule modulators. You can find out more here.
Former colleague and Head of Computational Chemistry, Dr Iva Lukac commented:
“I’m very grateful to Alessio for giving up his time to speak to colleagues on this topic. I and my colleagues will take so much from this presentation.”
Thank you, Alessio, for joining us in November.
You can find out more about our experience of and approaches to PROTACs here.
